C R I T E R I A
To qualify for the MMM Package the following criteria must be met by the MMM Package's target audience to enjoy its benefits:
  • Bid must be prepared and submitted or the decision to hold the event in Manila must be made within the period January 2000 and December 2001. Event bidded for or booked may be scheduled in 2000 and beyond.
  • Event (bid for) must be an international* or regional** event.
  • Event (bid for) must have a minimum of 100 foreign attendees.
  • Event (bid for) must be at least a 3-day event or must use at least 3 room nights.
  • Event (bid for) must be endorsed and assisted by PCVC. Bid proponent/Meeting Planner must use MMM participating entries (venue, PCO, DMC, etc.)
  • Event must be held in Manila (to mean Metro Manila's 12 cities and 5 municipalities)
*International meeting ia a meeting which draws participants from two or more continents or a minimum of 5 nationalities.
**Regional meeting is a meeting which draws participants from two or more countries from the same continent.

The Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) & The Philippine Convention and Visitors Corporation (PCVC) are available to help you plan a meeting, an incentive trip, convention, exhibition or special event. The PCVC is your friend. It is a non-stock, non-profit government corporation attached to the DOT. It is tasked with promoting the country as an ideal tourism, Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (M.I.C.E) destination. Its Conventions and Incentive Travel Unit (CIT), in particular, provides comprehensive information, technical assistance and guidance to meeting planners, incentive travel and special event organizers who seek an ideal venue for their events and exhibitions.

The PCVC offers its experience and expertise through a wide range of services, all of which are free:

1. Bid Preparation
We can help event planners and association / corporate executives in preparing a competative and highly attractive bid proposal.

2. Incentive Program Planning
We know what dreams to offer incentive groups. We can draw up an imaginative and unique itinerary for the programs of incentive group planners and organizers.

3. Liason Services
we provide clients with a valuable network of contacts, both in government and in the private sector. We can help facilitate clients' needs from matching them with business counterparts to identifying certified Destination Management Companies (DMC's) and reliable suppliers, to setting up linkages with appropriate government agencies.

4. Site Inspection
We can arrange site inspection trips and technical visits to help clients in planning and decision making.

5. Attendance Promotion
We assist in promoting attendance to booked events through our network of foreign and domestic offices.

6. Promotional Material Support
We can supply clients with a variety of promotional materials and audio visual aids; from general tourism materials, tour shells, to specialized paraphernalia for MICE groups.
