Para sa ating mga Pilipino, anf bagong taon ay katumbas ng panibagong simula at pag-asa.

Kaya sa pagpasok ng "Year of the Horse," ito'y pagkakataon na naman upang bigyan natin ng bagong sigla anf pagsulong sa turismo sa ating bansa. Responsibilidad nating lahat ito; hindi lamang ng mga pinuno o gobyerno, at mga mangangalakal. Ika nga ng yumaong Pangulong John F. Kennedy ng Estados Unidos, "Sa halip ng itanong mo kung ano ang maitutulong ng bayan sa iyo, itanong mo kung ano ang maitutulong mo sa bayan."

Kung ito ang mangingibabaw na pananaw natin, kayang-kaya nating harapin ang mga suliranin at pangangailangan ng bansa. At sama-sama nating maisusulong ang kanyang pag-unlad. At higit sa lahat, sabay-sabay tayong makikinabang.

Kapag nagsama ang lider at tao, lalabas ang galing ng Pilipino! Kaya nga dapat taas nuo tayong lahat. At buong sigla nating sabihin - "Bayan, sagot ka namin!"

How Can Overseas Filipinos Promote Tourism?

1. Project a highly positive image of your country at all times by saying something good and affirmative about the Philippines to your relatives, friends, peers, bosses and acquaintances, and by demostrating the world-reknowned Filipino brand of hospitality.
   
   
2. Get to know your country. Arm yourself with the most updated information on what exciting things are happening in the Philippines, which you can tell others, Visit the nearest Department of Tourism (DOT) office for information materials.
   
   
3. Convince and send one foreign tourist to the Philippines. Become a Tourism Volunteer! This one tourist you send can contribute US$ 1,058.75 to the Philippine economy. Imagine if you send more tourist who will spend this much!

What is V-12 or Philippine Tourism Volunteer 12?

V-12 is a program of the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) which seeks to mobilize all overseas Filipinos in marketing the Philippines as Tourism Volunteers so they can send foreign tourists to the country who can avail of generous discounts and other benefits.

Who can be a Tourism Volunteer?

Any Filipino working or residing overseas who deeply cares for his country and is willing to personally promote the Philippines to foreign friends, bosses, peers and acquaintances.

How to become one?

Simply secure a V-12 flyer and fill out the registration form.

Why should one volunteer?

Because one deeply cares for his/her country and would want to help rebuild the nation's economy.

When to register?

As soon as possible!
